Happy Renewal
Let us celebrate the light; the sun, born anew from the longest night, the circle, opening, pure, and birthing, once more from the beginning, what it, the circle, consummated, closed in itself.
Let us conjure the fire; in one flame of one hundred, one thousand, of infinite candles or lamps, lit in the ring generated by one hundred, one thousand, by infinite hands; in one spark, transposing every hiatus – from dark to dawn, from cold and pause to warmth and going on, from what sleeps to what awakens, from any end to every advent.
Let us conjure the earth, and, from under it, all the seeds; those still resting, and those slowly reanimated; those which, from germinated time, still supple, have risen and expanded; and which, pregnant with sap, at the centre, precise, of all the waters (the still, the flowing, the deep, the sources, and the ones rained down), became trees.
Let us conjure the trees; pines, cedars, other evergreens, continuous as life; let it come, the holly in which the sun grows old, to rise, with the oak, once again new; with the oak, let the mistletoe come, and in it, the kiss; and let the ivy that embraces it come, as well.
Let us conjure them, the kiss and the embrace, and exorcise fears, lethargies, and solitudes. Let us, then, become the light we celebrate, the fire; let us become the water and the seed. Of one essence, let us become frank-incense; may the gold shared be of wheat, within us ripened, multiplied; and, turned into myrrh, let us give ourselves the peace.
And let it be, in us, in all, Happy Renewal!
