Shape shifters would have
you framed and paralyzed
in white, but then when
blue rage is cast by an eye,
fury reigns blinding us into
the darkness of our time

Many would scatter to avoid confrontation, but to the steadfast...lessons learned...
for only then can the beauty
of the beast in all it's ominous
fury behoove you

For seeing the moon casting
its blue upon the beast within
you , letting the sun reveal the
grass under your feet...clearing
a path to walk with pride among
the beast in peace...forever beauty within the fury being the  power of
your worth, I can see You

This reminds me of a family motto I have seen somewhere; "Felis demulcta mitis". - The stroked cat is meek. You have captured that potential for fury even in the most beautiful creatures.

Yeats's line 'a terrible beauty is born'
comes to mind, Vivian, as you see within
the potential for both at once and have the ability to convey it in meaningful image and language.

"fury reigns blinding us into
the darkness of our time"

The above quote is my take on this poem, Vivian, not "the beast in peace," because the beast is never at one with peace. My opinion. Loved the poem, just kinda disagreed with the premise.
