Pacify an illusion tangible within tranquility
long live a lotus flower weep no more drought
a river runs through it as purity of snow melts
finding your way through it's displacements

Sketch a vessel rippling waves behind low profile
under the bridge, listen to the trees passing by as
flowers quince their thirst from their whispers of
contagious wisdom to arrive for a sunset after the
rain breathing in circumference full circle of depth
nexus sunrise of you contiguous the adventure

Certainly compelling, evocative, unique and concise. A lovely piece, Vivian, with twists of emotion/less delight.

Your poem is inspired by a beautiful part of the world. The old bridge predates motor transport and that air of tranquility still pervades the area. Your poem is very fitting and I'm sure the locals would appreciate it greatly.

...right from title to the teasing close you activate nouns and adjectives, lifting them from the prosaic through a poesis resplendent with a reverie that neither acquiesces to ambivalence nor lulls for even one instant from its languid lithesome vitality... nothing quite like a Dawson to lift a canvass off the painting, animate it, and breathe life into the cold pastoral... just when I thought you couldn't outdo yourself... and you are among the few I don't mind proving me wrong... again, and again... simply exquisite...

...and as peace prevails
like wind filled sails...
the whole earth will fill
with the sound of still...
in perpetual movement...
of momentous skill... like yours.

Making a perfect poem from paintings is an art form of another dimension, and you are damn good at it, Vivian. You began the poem with, "Pacify an illusion tangible within tranquility," and that is exactly what you have done here. The whole structure of the poem is tranquil. I love your work.
