Overdressed at the
beach if not barefoot
as summer waves
to the sun and back
cleansing your heart
while filling your soul
deeply with bliss

The sun does its best
with burning desires until
slowly comes the night ever
so devouring of emotions in
lunar amazement

Mysteries for the unseen
world beyond the senses
ever present danger to
venture but melodies of
poetry yet to be written

Oh! How I love the sights
and sounds time imprints
footloose at the beach

Come take my hand...

Oh, the beach is so lovely to visit. However, the constant wind and roar of the surf can become annoying over time. The sun is never kind to the skin and only the moonlight over the water is the best reward for being on the beach.

What is it about sun kissed beaches? All the everyday boring stuff just melts away, you have captured that relaxed, hedonistic feeling really well here.

Strongest lines I find to be "Oh! How I love the sights/and sounds time imprints/footloose at the beach". I can just see the human form with all limbs out, in joy of freedom of space and your words "time imprints/footloose.." just draws in the sand bare toes and no rules. I like this very much. ~~ Diana

Enjoyed this one and it reminded me of the summer to come, for it is still far too cool to hang out at the beach here yet. Thanks for sharing another of your wonderful works.

Melodious indeed. Beaches always seem trans-formative, both the spirit and the body. Nicely presented. Patrick
