~Clouding up Sunshine~

I am called the weeping willow
allow your spirits to be set free
from my stigma reaping your
heart to beat comfort and joy
for health and wellness
weeping no more tears to fill
my river from which there is
no return

Your poem continues the classical treatment of the weeping willow. I can think of three or four classical poets who have used this type of imagery. You are in good company.

This tree was used over the ages
medicinally and the first one
derived for its salicine later
manufactured into acetyl salicylic acid
known as aspirin :)

In Ireland The Pussy Willow is know as one of “the seven noble trees of the land” and was honored for its multi uses from basket weaving to thatching spars and wattles including many others.

You honor the willow in your prose

Powerful words to illustrate the moods and tempo of one who is a "weeping willow." You drew me into a vortex of understanding with your words of caring. Unusual, thought provoking and very good!

Weeping can be good for the soul. The last time I used a weeping willow in a poem it was very sensual.
