My Management Guru, Ashish
by Hiren Surendra Shah

Sunday, July 13, 2003
Not rated by the Author.

A real leader is someone for whom you have heartfelt respect. This is a tribute to my boss and friend Ashish Kundu who got several promotions within a little over a year to become CEO.

An industrialist’s Farmish(Demand)

An entrepreneur’s Khvaish (Dream0Somebody who needs neither Sifarish(Recommendation)Nor Azmaish(Trial) or Sazish( Politics)The Kedis Group’s Numaish(Showpiece)Ashish

Is it because Bengalis relish Rice and Fish or is there any other dish? That they are able to produce such fantastic people as Ashish.

For if there is one person who can make almost any business FlourishIt is Super Manager; Ashish. No matter how bad a business situation seem ticklish or how deep a Managerial Skirmish,They are no match for the Raw street-smartness of Ashish.Policy formulation and implementation are done impeccably from start to finishUnder the brilliant stewardship and execution of Ashish.Any team can make many a business problem vanish,Provided it is led from the front by Ashish. All complicated business problems diminishUnder the unique organizing and administrative capabilities of Ashish. If a businessman wanted to go in for a perfect furnish,He would embody his concrete and wooden infrastructure with souls like AshishTo embellish, paints may need Varnish, dishes may need some Garnish.Superb Salesmanship and Communication Skills obviate such needs for Ashish. If there is a manager whom providence wanted to Punish,The best would be by denying him exposure to and depriving him of learning from Ashish. For politicking and scheming managers, the word is simply Banish or Perish. If they dare lock horns with Ashish. No wonder his peers seem Foolish,Compared to the natural managerial abilities of Ashish. No wonder his seniors feel Sheepish,On being continually outclassed by Ashish. If there is one career that is likely to be without a blemish,It is obviously that of Ashish. The scrips of those companies are likely to be permanently bullishThat are able to hire managers like Ashish. If there is one thing that one would dearly wishIt is that all managers be as thorough and dynamic as Ashish.Whatever be the Language, Hindi, Bengali or EnglishThere are simply not enough words to express the versatility of Ashish.Enough on the Manager, if I were to describe Ashish as a friendI would not know where to begin; where to end.
