There once was a woman
With a missing part
A very important organ
Called a heart

It had been damaged
So she placed it aside
She hid it well
Due to her pride

Then he came along
An unexpected pleasure
But wait, could she trust
This newfound treasure?

Her mind said go slow but
Her body paid no heed
And out of those feelings
She fulfilled a great need

What was that sensation?..
A beat moving fast
It's only her heart
Returned to her at last.

Lost but now found is the heart of the woman. Brilliant concept of finding love at last to find that her heart still beats. Love this one Joy. very original. George AKA THE WISE OLD OWL

The style may be lighthearted, the expression
well controlled as i believe it needs to be in this
kind of writing, but the feelings are deep and genuine
and the point, Joy, is splendidly made.

Ah yes, Joy; the intricate and mysterious ways of love and the heart. Your verses flow very nicely. You forgot the "x" in "unexpected" in the second verse of the third stanza. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes,

Regis
