The great "I Am" is always there for us.

Night time has fallen
Plagued with dreams of old
I awaken from terror
I feel alone, frightened

A hand reaches out
To calm me
It is my loved one
Lying beside me

But more than his touch
There is another presence
He surrounds my very being

Images of white light seen
Through closed eyelids
Messages sent to me
From a higher order

"Sleep peacefully, my child
For all will be well"
And in an instant
I know it is so

I have known the terrors of the night, but also the comfort of God's fatherly presence and His rod and staff. This poem is a sweet reminder of that relief; that shelter we find in Him. Well done Joy!
