She had a split personality
sometimes she faced reality
sometimes she lived in a world filled with love
clean like a snowflake, pure as a dove
bright and pure without a spot
her life a play that had no plot
other times she was dark and held without
her heart was empty, no feelings came out
her eyes were open, but nothing she'd see
her life was unknown
her soul ebony
The rest of the time she would just hide away
not light, not dark, she was simply
gray...

I wrote this poem back when I was a "wee lass" growing up in hard times. It's taken from my latest book, "Passing Thoughts" - When Ron sent me my picture I just knew I had the right poem to go with it! 20+ years later this poem finally has a good pic to go with it, but I think I'm not as "black, white or gray" as I used to be. Joyfully my life has been colored with the love of wonderful, wonderful new and forever friends and family!

Thanks and love to Ron Axelson for the cool art work and for adding me to his collection of authors, poets and other artists! I am so thrilled to have this!! Love ya Ron!! You are fantastic dahlink!! xoxxoo

Hi Caryn,
Love the poem Caryn, but don't enjoy sketch artists that have hidden agendas and judge before they know the facts. Gregg
