Destiny untold

I feel no more my heart is frozen
as sorrow deep tears me from sleep
gone is the gladness. which once was chosen
for once again my soul does weep

In slumber sorrow assails the goal
will love ever manifest within my soul
for bitter is the bane of a destiny untold

Visions of past mergings take shape
as in silence my thoughts escape
to fields of everlasting bliss

Is this my Soul's wish?

I know not wisdom.. it eludes me

I often ponder the dread of this dream
to know  battles in which I scream
crying out in a billowing voice
growling in pain for I have no choice

Gladly I will give to illusion's embrace
for heaviness does my heart encase
for  love in all its splendour
has long since given to surrender
and  nights simmering a past scene
dissipate as if they never had been
as ashen storms permeate my dream

This raging hail and wrath  assails
a burning heart in which defeat prevails
soon this carbon structure in plight
will wither and be empty of life
but its essence will flee in rapturous glee
away from this earth..then to see
only light peace

 and a love free

Is this my Soul's wish?

My first thoughts while reading this piece is the honesty of it. The feelings of confusion and passion come through very clear. The second thought was how very easy it is to read, the flow from line to line is smooth and thus so creates a beauiful sound. By the way I love the painting, lovely~!

Ah, nightmare of mortal illusions, but the promise of spiritual reality. Gorgeous poem, Vesna! If this is typical Croatian verse, I may have to move there!

Write on!

Vesna this is classic poetry, touching the senses, the emotions and imagination.

Vesna, I would say the Soul's wish would be for a love that's true; a love that knows no pain or disappointment. I hear the cry of a voice longing to find that forever love...and find it it will when sought for in the right place.
Great writing!

Much love and happiness

Dear Vesna,

What beautiful prose. I know the emotion. I am there also. The joy of life is antithetical to sorrow realized. I have been away so, so, long. I am occupied with domestic political necessity. Our nation is simmering with fascist threats.

A dark period is upon us, if patriots are not compelled with onus.

Please pray for our people.

Very truly yours,

Bruce

Wow, after reading how fantastic this write is I wonder how I can even dare call myself a poet. Your skill, passion and imagery is more then I can absorb in one reading. I will save this and savor it again and again. Well done dear freind.
