A Memory?

There is an image

imprinted in my soul

A memory

imbedded in my heart

familiar... yet unknown

 Eyes

 brimming with tears

flood the gates of a heart weary

Breath brings no relief

for that which almost was

...a voice

 never heard

is silent

...a scent

 never inhaled

dissipates in the wind

...a touch

never felt

clings to  burning skin

And that..

 which was meant to be

is not

and that

which is not

is meant to be

Vesna, this is deep...stirring...and oh, so sad. As I read this write, I kept thinking of the unborn (rightly or wrongly)...it has no way to fight the selfishness of its "carrier" when it comes to abortion. That is so sad. Selfish mothers will have one heck of a time justifying their actions when the time comes to face the ultimate judge. Life on earth is not the end! Great write.

God Bless

Neat one, Vesna! Life is! And the alternative is temporarily unacceptable. As always, nice writing!

Reminded me of the saying 'the good that i want to do i dont but the bad that i dont want to do i do' Life is full of 'not meant to be(s)' but then again, they could we be what was meant to be - circular isnt it?

How often we experience these emotional deja vu I guess depends on our openness top feeling them.

BTW: I looked up the movie "Somewhere in Time" and remember watching it when it first came out. Fascinating storyline...

We only find the true meaning in our spirits when we search our deepest part of our soul..It is our meaning first, then the twin soul may come if they are not on the other side because sometimes they are waiting for you..Sometimes it is many kindreds, we just need to look, but first as the Native Americans do is go way off on a mountian and search their soul for meaning...
