There looms the dilemma

Don’t think it’s just the heart that breaks

When you spew your selfish needs at me

Don’t think that I can bear and brace

Against the cruelty you set free

Keep in your mind all that you had

And all that I bestowed your days

Remember all the things we planned

And all your action now betrays

Take note that once your bridges burn

And river of life once more divides

You may not get another chance

To seek the refuge love provides

Take care as you decide your plight

Beware of making a mistake

For 'greener grass' is rarely so

Is what you see for real or fake?

Don’t think it’s just the heart that breaks

As you wander off to pastures new

Don’t think that I'll bear and embrace

A future dreaming, just of you.

Bitterness clings to this piece like dew. Time to wipe the teardrops away and move on.

Nicely written, but sad. Especially if self reflective... However, tomorrow awaits. Make it matter.

Over the years I've written quite a few "Dick-Idiom's. Below is one that I posted a couple weeks ago. It seems applicable to your situation.

DICK-IDIOM #128

Sorry this is happening in your life, Ruan. Love. It does get messy at times, does it not?
