Moonflower Woman
By Handsum-Hart

Breathtakingly beautiful
Is the glowing of moonflowers
When the night awakes
And fills the earth with darkness
But a greater taker of breaths
Is the beautiful look aglow
On a woman’s face
When her man awakes
During the still of night
And fills her world
With moonlit visions
Of falling forever in love with him

Magical is the way moonflowers
Quickly open up at night
And remain open, until touched
On its dark green leaves
By rays of morning sunshine
But more magical
Is the way a woman's heart
Slowly opens up over time
For her man
And will remain open for him
As long as he shines
His love-light upon her

Tonight I will tie up my woman
With moonflower vines
And hold her captive
While I make captivating love unto her
From the rising of the moon
Until the moment, the flowery vines
She is held captive with
Gives up its glow
To the morning sunshine

Dear Ron,

The "king of romance" is back and in superb style. What glorious imagery, passion so soft and delicately penned. May the magic cast its spell eternally. This truly inspires me ;) Thank you Ron.

thank you for sharing this poem with us--moonflower woman is what most of us envision ourselves to be--being loved by someone who knows just what we need and isn't afraid to show us his love, and wanting to take us to the highest high..Really enjoy all your poetry as I have mentioned to you before--you have heard of the expression "you lost that loving feeling" well, hope you never lose your ability to share..

So your good for more then a minute eh?

Kidding aside:

The passion in this write touches me deeply as I envision being the moonflower. I hope I get a chance to see such a flower. Also learnt lately of a fish that glows in the dark by the BC coast.
