I originally wrote this as a song (hence the repeated chorus). Using the tune to "Whiskey on a Sunday"

You climb up the stairs at the end of the day,
For you it's time your in bed
The Sandmans lantern will show you the way,
Through dreamland you will be led.

Chorus:
Go to sleep my baby, every things all right
When you asleep my baby
I'll whatch over you through the night

You've got dear old teddy to whatch over you
As you lie all tucked up and warm.
While angels will guard you all the night through
Till it's time to wake up at dawn.

Chorus:
Go to sleep my baby, every things all right
When you asleep my baby
I'll whatch over you through the night

So sleep my baby, god bless you tonight
May your dreams be happy not sad.
You know how I love you, you make my world bright
With a look that says "I love you Dad"

Chorus:
Go to sleep my baby, every things all right
When you asleep my baby
I'll whatch over you through the night
