My favorite solitude.

Alone, as if posessed, I run thru life's tormented time.

Alone, perceived as what I need, a solitude sublime.

Alone I wonder at the wind And at the sky and sea.

Alone I search my soul to find a reason to be me.

Alone is not as lonely is, a feeling wrought with fear.

Alone is reassuring calm, with thoughts and dreams held near.

Alone I'll be, as I choose, whenever there is time.

Alone, for that is where I must control my life as mine.

Welcome to Authors Den! This poem, one of your first on here I presume, is wonderful. The loneliness sheds through.

ME TOO! People drain me. Then some harp "You need to get out more bal, bla, bla"....AND go to the night club for what?...aA bunch of idiots in my face, no thank you :) I TRULY enjoy my silence and solitude ALONE...without radio, tv, screaming fighting kids, or neighbors wanting something. It's a priceless treasure. I respect and appreciate this!
