Ah... The days of our lives. I began to die with my first breath.
I climb trees without looking around ...
I walk on walls while looking down ...
I stand on the roof and the world is mine ...
I search, I discover, I learn ..
Whenever I desire.
Am I alive?
I am the child.
I befriend everyone with caution to the wind
I leave with the sunset to return with the dawn
I stand for beliefs that I believe are right
I fight, I quarrel, I rebel
Whenever I dare.
I am alive
I am my future.
I compete with others with a fire in my heart
I look over my shoulder with doubt in my heart
I fight to succeed against the struggles of my heart
I love, I fight, I suffer
However I can.
Is this life?
I am the present.
I cut down trees that hinder my view
I shy from the walls that hold me within
I look from my window and the world is large
I give in, I withdraw, I surrender
Forever I might.
Am I dead?
I am my destiny.
I pick out the trees to shade my grave
I am measured for walls that will entomb me
I watch from my slumber and the world is infinite
Did I live, did I achieve, did I hold love true
I am dying
I am my soul.
I fear from the shadows that play on my mind
I look at strangers to see familiar faces
I lie down to sleep and the night is eternal
The mystery is revealed,
it wasnt the butler...
It was me.
I hurt but still .. I loved.
I lost but also .. I won.
I struggled but often .. I thrived.
I was beaten but still .. I fought.
I have lived
I am the past and now I die.
