Rhymes for the Classroom

                                Old Smokey

(To the tune of On Top of  Old Smokey)

                                       by

                                   J.P. Singer

( For National Smoke Out Day)

           That famous Old Smokey

           Whose top was once white,

           Is covered in ashes

           From smokers’ delight!

          Those cancerous smoke rings

          Folks blow in the air

          Won’t brighten tomorrow,

          All young ones beware!

         They’ll flatten your bankbook,

         They’ll lessen your wealth,

         But what’s more important,

         They’ll ruin your health!

         Come all you Non-smokers,

         It’s time to unite.

         Let’s join in the smoke-out,

         For clean air we’ll fight!
