Fair Trade
I lost my heart to no surprise.
For when I traced the flight it flew,
There was no other way about,
The path, I found, led straight to you.
I'm come to claim my errant heart,
You carelessly and heedless hold.
Unfair it is that you have two,
So I shall bargain brash, and bold.
You may keep my wandering heart.
I trust that you will not decline.
The bargain, fair, must then concede,
That your heart, now, at last be mine.
