A Poem of loss.

We built our castle with stone and brick planned each room with loving care turrets tall shadowed over all and when we finished...you were not there. We wrote our tale with verbs and nouns projected into the future our dreams hoped our life would be forever and then...you were gone it seems. We flew on wings of gossamer silk and glided on currents of air winging out across the sky and when I turned...you were not there. With a broken heart I packet away the wings. Placed them in a cardboard box packed up the story and put it away all hidden now...behind doors locked away. The castle shuddered with a sigh of grief, sad old eyes staring without care and the walls came tumbling down Because when I turned...you were not there.
