Its about letting go

BIRDIE

If you don’t want to be here
Then please leave
I am not the warden with a magic key
If you don’t want to be kept
You should have already left
If this is not where you want to be
Then Birdie go on fly away feel free
My arms are not your cage
There are no invisible gates
Or a shock collar around your neck
No imprisonment
I am not here to stroke your ego
I want to let you know
I’m not here to stand guard over you decisions
I won’t be your reason
I am not your regret
But I am a woman complete and whole
Lady enough to even let you go
No arguing, no fussin’, no fighting
Don’t get it mistaken
I am not afraid to work past the pain
I am strong enough to shelter your heart from the rain
Don’t let me be the Alkalis’ heel
To your dreams deferred
Don’t you be absurd?
These arms are not your prison
You are free to go on –understand this lesson
My heart is not a locked gate
This line here is no waiting
I stand on the firmness of love
See I am not hooked or latched to your hip
I am not a strap, ball, chain or whip
I am not here to entertain
Nor to be your blame
If I am not what you want
Honey it is okay don’t front
Kick rocks –I won’t beg you to stay
Better yet stand still –chill
Watch the back of my head –as I walk away
This ain’t foreplay

It is what it is –It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be
I am not your misery
You can never help how you feel
All I am sayin’ is just keep it real
I simply am not the one
If you don’t want to be here
Then Buddy be gone
Go ahead and leave
If you don’t want to be kept
And my love is not what you seek
Just get to steppin’
Why are you waiting?
Birdie you are free to fly away
I know who I am
I won’t beg you to stay
See, I am a diamond in the ruff
I am the Princess Cut
You think I am clouded filled with inclusions
But he will value my flaws –no illusions
The next man will love my brilliance
He will love my mind appreciate my shine
He can’t resist this
My perfect glare
Seductive stare
My original cut
So now what?
If you don’t want to be here
Then Birdie fly away
You don’t have to stay
If you don’t want to be kept
You should have already left
I won’t beg you to play in this heaven
Of love unconditional
I open my hands and released my love
You go on and be free
There is neither master lock nor a magic key
The door was never locked
Or the hinges jammed

Birdie Fly Away... I said, leave MAN!
