it happens to everyone
to look down the road and see
the end of the journey
the wind steadily at our back
there are time when we began to lose heart
looking back you see

your life running over and over
like a Facebook video game
your life
what was it good for
you spent so much time being angry
evolving into what you are today
not so angry anymore
no matter what your life’s video says
and the video
it is overwhelmingly true
eh . . .
whatever good there was about me
when I cross the chasm
in Charon’s boat
dies an inglorious death within me

yupshit

Perhaps there is good that you cannot see. It seems always easier for the thoughtful to find the negative they have lived and overlook the positive. good poem.
