The loss of the poems have put me up against myself and . . . God . . . I feel like I've been acting like an upset infant, thus . . . this . . .
I stand in the substructure of my spirituality
near the downstroke of backsliding ways
heady, cold, northerly winds
seals me forever in my conundrum
lightning flashes and thunder responds
Hell and Heaven battling it out
I'm frozen where I stand
as the solar system goes utterly, confoundedly, berserk
I refuse to give the ground
I stand upon
STAND YOUR GROUND the battle cry
my head held high, chin thrust out
go ahead if you must
take a shot
but let God go first

|Wow! "but let God go first" Powerful stuff here! By your picture I get the visual of you standing your ground unafraid with lightening around you and all hell breaking loose!! Great piece!

|Temper tantrums are easy to do, but
it takes a man stand up and take it
on the chin *Jerry* to get back to
the winner that we know you to be!!!

|Look on the bright side. You have a chance to recreate you original poems with a chance to improve upon them. Besides, neither of those two fight fair. Patrick|
