and never try changing that; anyway, it would
be impossible and true identity would disappear

i love 'I Am Me'... it's such a celebration our humanity... encouraging us to accept ourselves ~ improve ourselves where possible ~~ and then, love ourselves despite all and because of it all!!!
Thank you from my heart xox :-)

|Jerry we all are different, thank goodness, or the world would surely be a boring place.
Love how your mind works, great poetry.

|If we all tried to be alike, what a boring mess we would all be in. Boring and completely frustrating because no one can be who they are not, or not be who they are for long if at all. Thank God we are all indiviluals who can contribute in our own ways and accept in seperate ways as well. I am glad you have got what you've got. Be well, Kathy|

|And this is the most important Jerry! Nice picture by the way :)
You are who you are and I am who I am and that's what makes us all so very special!
I like the accurate you.

|Well stated. Jerry you are here because you are here, and the fact that you have freely admitted you can change and cannot change is postulate to your world being created so YOU could live in it and intelligently ponder these things and write a poem for the universe to read, which is why you are here at all, so that universe can justify and GLORIFY (that is your part, the glory) itself today.

|It's a good thing you are you and not me,,, curing "..one or two.." of my faults would scarcely make a dent in them, but itís something to contemplate. Thanks Dick|

|It's critical and crucial you ARE you, Jerry, and not nobody else. The fact that you KNOW that you are who you are is priceless... some of us live our lives never quite sure - about ourselves, not you! You are one of a kind and totally unique. I'm sure we're all glad about that and wouldn't want you to change a scrap. I truly admire the personal journey you have been on these past few years and am proud of how you've conquered some heavy stuff and are now seemingly much happier in your own skin. I like this little "stake in the ground". It's good to take stock and evaluate. Kudos! xx|

I hope you will stay being you, that is the you we all like so much and wait to read more of the you that is.

|Amen to that! The thing is humans tend to criticize us for our differences...when the only way is to celebrate them! Glad you're you, Jerry....

|You are you, this is true.
You do what you have to do.
You say what is on your mind.
You are humble, you are kind.
What is more, you're no snore.
You have won your inner war.
And as your poetry does attest,
You are simply one of the best!
I enjoyed your poem so much,
I had to add a personal touch.
Have a fine day
in every single way.
