|The lies are the agreements we made..........all we have to do is break them.
The humor side of me looked at your photo and came up with this:
Scene: Artist is painting a naked couple.
Lady: "Yes I know," she says with a grin, "Its very tiny, he can cover it with a leaf...."

|24 carat gold creation, Jerry. I like the style, the line divisions, splendid clauses, "infinity has revolving doors," "justice hunters faux seek" "deceiving even themselves..." Your third line is one helluvan image that provides symbol crash to lift heads and show whites of eyes. The combination of these words: "by slothful, unearthing 'injustice'" . . . so unique. Ending with "surely He knew that" adds an eerie, profound calmness of acknowledgement. Wonderful piece of work, Jerry. This poem belongs in a book with gilded pages ~~ Diana|

|You're right... so much confusion arises over what is intended by the Creation and Fall narrative. It's not about "love", "sex", "desire" and all the rest; it's about obedience to "what God said" and is a picture of what faith rests on over and above all the petty rights and wrongs - to my understanding, anyway. I believe God is primarily interested in faith, not our petty preoccupations with "sin". Of course the two are bound together tooth and nail but I am not going to bore with further with religious debate. Love how you scotch all your "classical-speak" with the more prosaic voicing of that final stanza in order to punch home your point. To be honest, I'm distracted by the picture... Eve's back is turned but pussy's still in the picture!!!! No, I won't go to Hell for that comment, get a life people!!!! (People as in everyone who's hung up about such things...) xx (Can I be escused from responsibility for these comments, in the knowledge that I'm still fever-ridden from air-con 'flu???!!)) Love ya, Milton xx|

|What a wonderful write concerning a great book, of a "story" handed down for centuries. I always refer to it as the "book" of old and new... one I have read several times. And in the older book, it speaks of so many things and yes gives little rise to that "which the little word "love" cannot prevent" Destruction, carnage, lies, creation and where did it go? Where did it lead mankind? You explained it so well Jerry...
