| Happy for today's new vocabulary word: Perfidious. This piece sets well on the page for me, with congruency and consistency of characters and tone. I respect the clear unconstraint in the content, the unabashed admittance in these lines: "I sweep my hand toward expensive perfume/which fails to hide your animal sensuousness" and this one: "I am but one more beastly shadow"; then the acknowlegment of reciprocative likeness: "I know you're not satisfied in your restraint". If I were to give this poem a one-word response, it would be: "instinct." Pretty good description of perfidiousness. A+ ~~ Diana |
