We are not complicated, situations are...
We create our own complications in life
it is ourselves that need to remove those
complications in order to live simply and
happily...
We have no right to look at others and view
them as inferior... for no person is we only
have our own path to walk.

As long as we ask ourselfs the question, are we as uncomplicated
as the person sitting next to us, we are not really uncomplicated. Than we are "wanna-be" uncomplicted.
But let's fill our glasses once more with Wine Jerry |

| First of all, I approve of your blingless image to accompany your bling-free poem. So happy to see the way you incorporated the word "counterfeit" in just the right place here. Your handling of this concept appears in two parts to me, divided by the word "still..." Part One strikes me as Elixir of Truth. Part Two is joyful and mournful revelation by means of assessment. Wonderful companions. Lastly: "...gather around us/the melancholy of consequence." May I quote that in everysinglething I say? It is Blue Ribbon to me. ~~ Diana |

Great insight. I prefer the simple life. I have always tried to connect with those less fortunate than I and have made some great friendships with people as down-to-earth as the earth itself. What really irks me were the poorly educated and ignorant “professors” I came across hiding in higher education and acting the fool because they had numerous degrees behind their name and emptiness in their hearts.

| this perhaps, jerry, is my favorite of your last dozen or so writes. the main goal each morning is to keep each task or occurence of the day as 'simple' as possible....keeps the head turmoil to a lower level. you've explained simplicity with the most graceful of words...thanks...p |

Your thoughts resonated profoundly with me, Jerry...my father lived the most simple life one could imagine...never cared if he had a cent in his pocket...but he was wealthy beyond belief! He truly "got" what's important in life...and he didn't have to buy it!
