this one worked its way to life while i was driving again today.

Her dark tresses that gleam and shine
speckled with frostings of long love.
Upturned lips of a thousand smiles
blessed with those enchanting green eyes.
His hair in white waves and smile straight
so here they stand in eachothers space.

Pairs of green eyes locked together
his strong hands stroking silkeness.
After resting on soft shoulders
they glide across a sculpted place.
To slowly slide down, side to waist
and arms wrap to hold eachother in.

Standing thus no one else exists
bodies merge as their arms close in.
Heads tilt and lips join together
breaths lengthen with long sighs moaned.
Tihy wings flutter while hearts thump
as fingers grasp and cores heat up.

Heads lean back and chests start to heave
nothing is said, only eyes speak.
Their smiles broaden when arms wrap again
and parted lips meet for love play.
What could it be better than this
so mists dissipate and lights dim.

Budd, I have not been to post or review on AD for months, but your title on the most popular poetry list, "Green Eyes Shining", lured me to your site. This is the most exciting romantic poem I have read in years; I am SO glad that I checked out your site, you have a new fan for life! My Irish green eyes are shining brightly towards you and your poetry!!

This is so beautiful. I have seen a variety in your poetry and prose and it is enjoyable to read. To are able to cover a mass of emotions like a few others I know. This is good, inner expression whether real or imagined and done so well. I'm with Jane, well sort of lol, I should say it held me breathless :)

Just a wonderful romantic write Budd, keep it up!

Ah, you are the romantic soul, Budd, and very apt at describing the romance in that wonderful soul. This was a great read. Not one like did I think misplaced, perfect in EVERY way, buddy.

I like "Upturned lips of a thousand smiles" very much. I also enjoy your combining each and other into one eachother. And what a clause with which anyone who has ever been in love can FEEL: "Standing thus no one else exists" Budd. To me, that is the crux of this flirtatous, salacious poem. I could not find the word "Tihy," so I'm wondering if it is a typographical error, maybe the word tiny. Good capture of energy in this poetry. ~~ Diana
