I remember as a child,
The exciting days of Eid al-Fitr,
As we would be unable to sleep,
The night before,
The last day of Ramadan,
The last day of fasting,
To wake up early and shower,
To put on brand new clothes,
And shiny red shoes,
As we would manage to gulp,
Home-made baklava,
And many more sweets,
Candies And chocolates,
As we would prepare to kiss,
And embrace family,
Friends and elderly,
In order to collect,
The maximum amount of money,
Gifts and every child's glory,
As I wish to live the joy,
Of those wonderful days past,
Today and tomorrow.

Cok guzel. I love your Islamic poetry which reflects a very personal attachment and a great depth of experiencing faith.
Hayyakum Allah!
