Bruise

So long has passed,
And yet i still feel the ache,
As the pain had eased- I thought,
Misconceived was I- by me,
My mere self had not lost,
The virtual memory of pain,
A damage that cannot be undone,
By Time that savoured the trauma,
Reminded today by distress,
And a bruise found in a dream.
