A poem of inspiration

The darkness you feel when losing yourself

Is a deep, dark and twisted magical spell

Falling down a hole, just like Alice

Surrendering yourself can become an imbalance

Falling and falling until there's no room left to fall

Twisting and flopping just like a rag doll

Hitting rock bottom one thousand ft. under

When all that's left is lightning and thunder

When you're constantly battling with this thing we call life

When the last feeling you had was more than needed strife

The fighting to rise

Seems like fighting to fall

You need to close your eyes

And hold your head tall

There's a way out of the dark

It just might take some time

But when you see the spark

Let it shine

Deep feelings of anguish are coming over you

Give up or fight? What to do?

In so much debt now, stress is through the roof

Dignity gone and feeling aloof

A broken heart to boot, feeling under the weather

Do you miss the days you felt light as a feather?

Feeling useless as ever, not able to move

Will you ever find a way to improve?

Tossing and turning, at night you can't sleep

Nothing good ever came from taking a leap

The fighting to rise

Seems like fighting to fall

You need to close your eyes

And hold your head tall

There's a way out of the dark

Though it might take some time

But when you see the spark

Let it shine

Deeper and deeper you're in a downward slump

Wondering when next you'll hit the speed bump

Feeling low and insecure

Everyday is hard to endure

Crashed, shaken and upside down

Flying about and spiraling around

There is no one around to help you get up

This feeling is long, but it came on abrupt

You for some reason can't seem to find a light

It looks like there is no end in sight

The fighting to rise

Seems like fighting to fall

You need to close your eyes

And hold your head tall

There's a way out of the dark

It just might take some time

But when you see the spark

Let it shine

The only time you'll make anything good happen, is if you make it

So, make it happen.
