A poem of imprisonment of the soul. This can be interpreted in many levels.

Your eyes burn into my soul;
Devouring every part of me;
Changing me,
Making me
What I wish not to be.

Why do you do this?
Engulf me with your powers,
Take away my strength,
Leaving me helpless,
Without life
Without death;
An immobile soul
Thatís become black as night
Black as death
Yet no death to overcome me,
Torturing me,
Nourishing me,
Imprisoning me.

Oh why did you choose me?
What brought you here?
What desire was it you sought,
When you invaded me?
Was this desire me?
Did I satisfy it?
Oh let me be!
Let me be!

You being of deceit!
Why do you destroy
My life
My love,
My world,
My hopes.

Unearth me!
Breathe life into me once more,
Let me walk amongst the living,
Amongst the dead,
Amongst the undead;
This life in shadows
Drains me,
Drains what is left of me.

You have won.
You have defeated.
You have conquered.

Those eyes,
Those eyes that burn,
Those eyes that sear,
Eyes that devour,
May they make me no more,
No more.
I am,
No more.
