"The ax is always cutting down the forest. Thank God it can't cut down the clouds." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Come with me

High above the ground

We'll fly far over the land

And look down

To all that is below

Soar with me into my castle

I have built it here

On the tallest peak

And in the folds of nimbus

We will speak

Stay awhile longer

But never forget

There's never a time

To look back with regret

When we've come down again

Read lots of your wonderful poetry. You are yourself and show it in your writing and you are going to go far in life. The 60's were a lot better than now I think in some way, but thanks for writing inspiring poems and all. Take care and chug along and keep sane in this mad mad world.

I like the imagery here too and feel like just flapping my arms to touch one of those clouds.

Beautifully imaged, especially love the lines,

"...and in the folds of nimbus
we will speak...." <------------------EXCELLENT!
