Thank you so much Scott for coming out & giving Ed the best birthday ever! I know it meant alot to Ed and it meant alot to me too. Having you here, even though it was just a couple of days, was a sheer joy & pleasure. Please give Rufus lots & lots of kisses & hugs from his Mommy & Daddy.

Ed is in my prayers none stop...wish I could just call him and give him a special "Stinky" laugh from South Africa...but cannot find the correct number to call his room!!
With my accent they think I am from MARS...lol!!
Sighhhhh...this was a bummer for all of his friends....but I am sure he will be back with "MUCH" to say on this board!!

| I can't believe that I missed this news. I've been so absent from AD and haven't been reading much lately but this morning the news dropped on me like a ton of bricks. I'm shocked to learn that Ed is in such a serious condition and I will be praying for him, Rene and you Scott and of course Ed's beloved Rufuz. Please keep us updated with news. Chanti |

Thank you, Scott...thank you so much...for the update, for being there for Ed, and caring for Rufuz, and giving strength to Rene. We want to help Ed however we can, but mostly boost his spirit now. Ed has so many prayers going up for him because people really DO care...he must know that. And for him to know that Rufuz is being cared for and loved by you...what a boost that will give him (Ed).

Thank you Scott, I have been worried about both of them, 1100 its a miracle he survived that, when my friends sugar went half that, she passed out and nearly died, but miracles happen and I am praying that Ed and Rufuz are given that miracle, I can not imagine what either are going through

Thank you Scott, thank you for being a top mate, and taking Ruffie, plze give him a good ole pat for me. I called the Hos about half hour ago Aussie time. I know it was late, but we felt we should at least say hello to Ed, so he could hear from us personally, we love him and are praying 4 him too.
We will continue to pray for him, is all one can do.
It was good to hear his voice..
Glad he had a good Birthday, so deserved!
Must catch up with Rene too, she deserves a medal.

Rene has known Ed since they were kids, and she said it was his best birthday ever. All the nurses on the floor sang happy birthday to him, and he received seven dozen multi-colored roses. Personally, I’ve never laughed to the point of crying so many times in one day.
Now that is wonderful news!
I talked to old Ed on the phone in his hospital room after you left, and he was very happy that Rufie Boy was now with you. I think that really lifted his spirit again, and our good thoughts and prayers for the old Jersey Devil will continue. And give good old Rufuz a big bear hug for me. |
