This poem will enable you to not only picture the beautiful lavender fields, but smell them also!!

Cote d'Azur (Nice-Cannes area), the lavender fields at the Pays de Valensole

Representation of rapture

Amidst rocky terrain, wildflowers sway along hillsides

Summer lends beauty as sunflowers make love to lavender

Intoxicating perfume turn men to wobbling idiots

Bees pollinating in sea of bluish purple

The view is spectacular

Extensive wandering while harvesting lavender

Sickle in hand

Baskets hand woven by artisans eons ago

Rousing heard, brushing felt

Nestling in shade are vipers

Even heaven has its warnings

Sun bursting with color blinds me

Wave of lemony-yellow colors over field of blue

Mother Nature gently hinting store will be closing for the day

Gesturing sad goodbyes

Brusquely bumping back to bed

Colors of common surround senses

Will there ever be another day

Tears fall but memory is placed

I have seen heaven on earth

Life is dull when colors blind
