My dreams are in dark places
Underground hotels
Poorly lit roller rinks
where faded faces
continue their circular dance

Crowds of people
roam in dismal dim lights
I cannot locate
the ones I am looking for
I cannot find my belongings

There is a cold ocean outside
raw sunlight
dives into the waves
The air and water are frigid

So I return to suffocating darkness
and continue to search

Sounds like takin a breather from the "party from hell", then having to go back inside cos it's still an hour before the rest of your friends want to go home! I remember that one!! :)) Adore the stanza: "There is a cold ocean outside raw sunlight dives into the waves The air and water are frigid"... again, know plenty of that living in England!! Excellent visual poetry as always. Bless you and thank you. Kate xx

we search through the darkness of dreams to find a glimmer of light and when we do it's time to start all over again ...

luv the stark yet subtle imagery ...

Our dreams are very "telling" of things that are on our mind...we all have our darker dreams I think - sometimes we know why, and sometimes we don't WANT to know why. Well written piece Janet.

Interesting and intense and as dreams go scary but no doubt it has a great signifigance to your life. Great write Janet though dark.
