Around the edges

of your smile,

caught between 

parentheses,

are places

I've only got to kiss

one thousand times.

Brevity like a chocolate cherry, djl. Aside from an obvious interpretation (of lips and kissing) i infer a gist here about what has been, what is, and what is hoped for. Peace... rlc

Often we forget the simplest metaphors to explore. Here in a few short lines you've given fresh insight into the often times ignored details of a visual. Once again, you've proved masterful in your ability to arrest the subtext hovering in the shadows.
