On Finding Myself

So many say they need to "find themselves". They don't realize that themselves are right inside them, growing, learning, applying their knowledge.

Set out to find myself one day
Quest was set into motion
Enjoyed my walk on sandy beach
Gazing out o'er the ocean

Then climbing weathered breakwall blocks
Cooled by the water's soft mist
Horizon came full into view
Myself evaded our tryst

I lied in meadows to find me
Smoking best stuff from my sack
Went home myself had left a note
While you went out I came back

Don't lie in Meadows to find you. I use the finder on my computer. ;-)

I didn't find myself until I stopped looking.... thinking about it, I guess that’s more-or-less what you are saying with this poem.

Nicely done. Dick
