This is my favorite season of them all!

The season of Autumn is loudly announced

As leaves on the ground are playfully bounced

They cascade to the lawn tossed about by the wind

Once apart from the tree,  stability is impossible to lend

In the strength of the wind,  their destiny lies

Without room for compromise

Leaves blankey the lawn and sprinkle the street

Whispering sounds like music,  as they rustle under feet

Each Autumn repeats the ones of the past

The leaves in spring differ in contrast

A few wilting leaves cling to branches atop the tree

As if trying to hang on to a dying jubilee.

Many love this season :) It's a time that the leaving of the new becomes so beautiful as though to shine before it's rebirth in the spring.

Lovely write
