Temporary Layoff

Only Temporary but makes me worry nonetheless...paranoia I suppose...ed

Temporary Layoff…

Taking some time,

Feel the need so sublime,

To stop my upwards climb,

Of the ladder at my job,

Before these meds do make me, at work, sob…

Can’t allow that to happen,

If I keep going as I am, I may end up in a pen,

Where the only writing utensil will be a dull pencil,

One sheet a day of paper, just because of my recent caper…

So its time off I be needin’,

Time to reflect, to swim, to surf, to sit on the beach, offer my respects,

Maybe a tan I will get this summer season,

Not for anything worth the effort, that’s right not for any good reason,

Just to have it for a change, will show everyone my time on the beach,

A tan will be something that not even I can reject…

Rule number one: Stop Worrying. Kick back, slow down the pace, and truly absorb the beauty and inner peace you so need and deserve. "Temporary" means don't waste a second of it! Let yourself really prioritize in favor of what really matters: your dear self, Rufuz, Renee... and stand, barefoot, and breathe in mother ocean. Let us know, dear Ed. katy xox.

Are you heading for those infamous Nude Beaches in Jersey? Wow, but be very careful, Ed. Flesh that hasn't been exposed to the sun in 50 years can burn up fast! Should be some tan you get this summer.
