We can’t the kids blame,
Parents giving everything they ask,
In the knowledge they’ll get “IT” they bask,
All they have to do is whine or complain…
I too am a member of this extensive club,
My parents spoiled me too, if not I would them snub,
How we see when older we get, some of us weren’t,
Very friendly, very compassionate, or considerate a little cub…
Spoiled rotten to the core,
If not parents thought we’d be a bore,
Prior to Christmas parents bought out the store,
Just so we’d have what THEY never had before…

I love poems like this one.
They really make you think.
I know I was spoiled rotten.
So much I think I sometimes stink.
Not the stink that makes me sweat and smell.
But the selfish stink that can send us straight to
_ _ _ _.
Made in Dec 10th,
Have a GREAT NEW YEAR!

|You are so right, Brother. Instead of sending me two fabulous Christmas gifts this year, just send one.|

|you are so right, as I sit night after night listening to requests for Christmas presents I can't help but feel a little disillusioned though when child after child ask for gifts that are in the three to four hundred dollar range and I am struggling to find enough cash for my meds. lol but I do agree that we the parents are the only ones to really blame.

|This is more true than we want to admit! You said what is discussed around the world by parents who gave and gave and gave.... you did a great job of putting it into words, and at the same time...admitting to your own natural instincts... :-)) lindalaw|

|you're so right, but how can parents change when the childrens peers are getting all they want. It's a dilemma! however it could change if people truly celebrated Christmas for what it means and that is no small task... Rufuz,Read my poem and see what Chrismas is;-)

A very open and honest write: and the less we have, the more we want ... sigh.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
