A bit more weight, a few more teeth & the motor ran great…

Rufuz was always a chicken when it came to riding in the boat...he cowered below...;-)

What a day that day was,

Didn’t worry ‘bout the marine fuzz,

The boat was registered, my boating license intact,

Damn but I had a great time that day, & that’s a fact…

New Jersey behind & to the right,

The Delaware river & state to the left,

That day I could have cruised & cruised,

The sky a beautiful blue, the sun quite bright...

Since then I have lost weight,

And of course I have a few less teeth,

But as I said, the motor that day ran great,

The ride was wonderful, though Rufuz did,

In the cabin, cower beneath…

There is no feeling like it a cruise on water. Very nicely written piece, Ed.
