Seems when I was younger I loved the cold weather, but as I get older I love it less & less...

The wind is starting to blow,

Here comes towards us the cold,

Old man winter is usually on us by now,

But fortunately he hasn’t this year gotten that bold…

No snow here yet fortunately,

No temps below the thirties,

Just a bit cooler tonight & tomorrow,

A preface for winters view,

Then again for us in the northeast, nothing new…

The heat I hesitate to turn on,

Only while I sleep do I do so,

I would rather it stay off,

But as I get older I seem to get more soft…

Thank goodness for the heat! Without it, even in hot old Texas, I would surely freeze to death before Christmas. And that's a fact, Jack… Err, I mean, Ed.

Me too, Ed. That is why I moved Phoenix when I became disabled. Just wear a sweater even with a jacket over it.
GOD BLESS YOU

I thought you were taking those little blue pills for that...

We are being battered with heavy rain and high winds and I can almost feel the building sway from my 14th floor apartment...but still, glad it is not snow lol

Just be thankful that you're not up here in central New Hampshire, my friend. Well done, Ed.

An electric blanket I did just buy
for my Father in his 85 th year,
whose blood is now quite thin...so
identying with the cold of that you
write so well

Hopefully the winter up there will be milder than normal. And yes, the older you get the worse the cold affects you.
