The power on just up the street,
There they have a/c and up can go their feet,
From my place I can see their lights on coming,
8 days we’ve been without, that’s my summing…
So will it come back today,
Or this time tomorrow will the same thing I say,
Never again will I not believe,
That this can happen wherever we do live,
After they do this time of our powerlessness relieve…
So today I guess to the beach I must go,
Over 100 the temperatures are expected to grow,
The ocean is in the mid 70’s,
The air will be in the upper nineties there,
Back into the 80s next week,
They are the temps that I look forward to and seek…
