Written on a cold winter night along Pushkin Str. in Moldova.

Thought’s of You


 


Though pale sky lit walkways


Caused by the full moon, I walk.


Oh, how I wish I were lying beside you


This winters night, so cold.


Yet, I pain myself with thoughts of you


And I ache with unfulfilled desire.


So far away, yet very near


I hold onto these very thought’s,


In hopes that one day---the grace of God,


Will bring my soul to you.

i like this poem.

its vivid physical setting
sets off the inner longing
of the narrator perfectly
