While walking along a country back road in the Philippines I came across this mangy pup.

Mangy Dog

One day as I was walking

Along a filthy island road—

I came across some mangy dog

Who was begging--just for food.

I saw him looking all about

For something he could not find—

So,  I reached into my sack of food

And gave him a  bit of mine.

Hello William,

Brief encounter, deep message. The scenery seems "barriotic" and
probably far from civilization (as most of our islands are) but thesubject (dog) must have wandered off from its home. He touched you and made you write this, mangy dog that he is.
