I attended Catholic schools in New Jersey, and one of my teachers, a nun made this analogy, when answering a question from one of the students about why some people were darker than others.

The races of the world are like a box of crayons

People come in many shapes, sizes and colors

But they all live ina one box that we call Earth

All born to this world through women we call mother

Crayons are inatimate objects this I know is true

They cannot feel the emotions we do

They cannot change things which may seem unpleasant to them

Like racism, prejudice and a few other hman problems

But we colors of the world have the power to change

To erase the ugliness and war so peace may reign

We can do away with racism, diecrimation and other problems effecting our world

Make the world a safer, beautiful and peaceful place to rasie our future boys and girls
