Down
breaking it down
is always easier…
even gravity loves to lend a hand
your words,
mine…
mixed and mixed up
never walk the straight line
what you don’t say,
flashes across your face
in neon
neon
neon…
branding the flesh of my heart
failure can be as breathtaking
as triumph
and lasts much longer
now, your heart lives elsewhere
though your body shares my bed
like two ice cubes
melting ,
sliding,
in different directions
never to be whole
again…

I can relate. My favorite part is:
now, your heart lives elsewhere
though your body shares my bed
like two ice cubes
melting ,
sliding,
in different directions
never to be whole
again
What a perfect metaphor. Beautifully captured & written.
Move on, move toward the lightness of being loved as you are without spaces & pauses & uncertainty. You deserve it love.

| Hi Jim. What a write!! Two people sharing a life but drifting apart. You nailed the pain and feeling of being in limbo. Someone has to make a move--but who? Good to read you again, I've been gone quite awhile...Lin |
