Dedicated to someone I knew a long time ago...

I walked behind you

Followed your every step

Wanting to walk with you

No matter what path you chose

But you didnít notice me

I sat beside you

Hanging on your every word

As you spoke atop the pedestal

Where my adoration had placed you

But you didnít see me

I called out to you

Begged for a moment of your time

A touch of your hand

An opportunity to open a door into your soul

But you didnít hear me

I knew you

I looked beneath your skin

And behind your eyes

I loved you for your inner perfection

I wish I could have told you

But you didnít know me.

So sad I'm guilty of feeling unworthy, only to find out, to late how others knew how she also felt,I was haunted by that for some time, this sums up that feeling perfectly, I swore the next time not to be of faint heart, and not be scared to fail,or painful rejection.

Awww, Crystal-Rain! You know you idolized and I am still doing it. The person in question could not have been "inwardly perfect" if they did not at least acknowledge you. But I know well that of which you write and it touches me to my soul's depth. Thank you for sharing this offering, Rain. Love and peace, Regis.
