Mommy

A view from an aborted baby

Mommy, this is sad for me;
I cried a tear for you.
The pain you must’ve felt I shared,
as they tore me from your womb.

Mommy, did you know my warmth?
Did you feel me deep inside?
That was the love I gave to you
before you let me die.

Mommy, I forgive you -
It must have been real hard
to lie upon a cold hard bed
and rip me from your heart

I can’t tell you how to live
or why you ought to care
But mommy, if you’d kept me there,
what love we could have shared!

Mommy, God had plans for me
but my innocent life you slew
I was meant to be an artist
and share my life with you

but the gift he gave, you gave back
to Heaven’s skies of blue
and what God told me, I’ll tell you:
he forgives and still loves you.

Thanks Nina for your help with this!
