First Kings 19:11

A stormy gale hammers into the mountains face; while oppression clouds our minds.  Then a violent earthquake split and rocked its very core; like a crisis we have all endured. Whats left standing, a raging fire consumes; as condemnation ignites deep in our souls, leaving nothing but shame. All we see is the tempest lash, while looking for a sign... Shouldn't  we all listen intently for that still small voice? Which made Elijah turn and hide!

One needs to evict the noise of the world to hear that still small voice. Much daily prayer.

So Jezebel sent a message to Elijah. She said: "You can be sure that I will kill you, just as I killed the other prophets. I'll do it by this time tomorrow."

Elijah was afraid. So he ran for his life.

Been in similar situations. It becomes overwhelming. In my experiences only interceding in tongues gets you through. And even then it feels like you're in a rowboat in a hurricane at times. The seductive and violent powers of the Jezebelean spirit can humble the best of the best. It's not an easy battle, even with the Holy Spirit. We all get knocked down. Multiple times. Thank God for the merciful hand that reaches out to us when we do. Enjoyed your thoughts. Peace ...
